Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

A well-established food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the production and sanitation departments. This role is responsible for managing line operations, ensuring product quality and safety, and leading a team of production staff with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
This is a 1st shift role 5:30am-5:30pm Monday -Thursday 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise production lines, blending operations, parcel post, shipping/receiving, and driver coordination

  • Minimize downtime and increase line efficiency

  • Perform job hazard analyses and ensure safe work practices

  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and provide coaching when needed

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in monthly inventory counts

  • Ensure proper use and training of ERP and OEE systems

  • Enforce safety policies and proper use of PPE

  • Foster a team-oriented and customer-centric work culture

  • Support projects and initiatives assigned by Production Management

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience

  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/PeopleSoft preferred)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and work under time constraints

  • Proven track record of improving processes or performance in previous roles
