Established and successful manufacturer is seeking a strategic and hands-on Sales Director to lead the sales organization and drive sustainable growth. Joining a successful, privately held company with a strong culture and close-knit team, this role is ideal for a leader who can build on our solid foundation to increase sales, implement structure and process, and scale operations in a thoughtful, sustainable way. The team takes pride in long-term relationships, both external and internal (many employees have been with the company for over a decade) and values collaboration, integrity, and excellence.

The Sales Director will oversee all aspects of sales strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with company goals while fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to accelerate revenue growth and expand market presence.
  • Introduce structure, process, and best practices to optimize sales operations and ensure scalability.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, serving as a trusted partner and advisor.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the sales team, promoting a positive, performance-driven environment aligned with company values.
  • Oversee pricing, quoting, and contract negotiations to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, production, and logistics teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and strategic recommendations to ownership.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, strengthening brand visibility.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge and leverage customer feedback to inform product and service improvements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in B2B environments; experience in manufacturing, materials or fiber is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and implementing scalable sales processes.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a small, family-style business environment that values flexibility, initiative, and collaboration.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/digital communication tools.
