We are seeking a leader with strong outside sales or sales management specifically in waste management to direct and coordinate sales efforts for a waste management company’s branch in Raleigh. This company is open to providing relocation assistance to someone as well and will be 50% in office/the field and 50% remote once this person has established themselves in the position.
DETAILS
- Work closely with company leadership to develop and implement training strategies, sales tactics, pricing plans, sales forecast, and sales goals within budget
- Direct sales and administrative personnel, including hiring, training and and management
- Assist with new customer solicitation, bid prep and customer retention
- Meet regularly with sales personnel to review sales activity, retention activities, sales performance, and training needs; conduct ride-along’s with team members to provide additional support
- Proactively contact assigned accounts to identify customer needs, changing requirements or potential issues and resolve accordingly
- Stay aware of market behavior and competitive trends to proactively manage territory accounts
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of available services, policies, and pricing options to assist sales personnel as the need arises
- Complete sales reports, review Customer Service Agreements and contracts, and other necessary documentation
- Monday-Friday 8-5
QUALIFICATIONS
- Waste Management sales experience required
- Waste Management sales manager experience is better but will consider a strong outside sales rep with industry experience who is on track to take that next step
- Experience in leadership or helping others reach their sales goals a big plus
- Comfortable working in Raleigh office
- $90k+ base for someone with Sales Manager experience
- $65k-$90k base for someone with no management experience
- Additional bonus based on team hitting goals
- Additional commission on selling large accounts
