Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Security Engineer to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to build security solutions in both public and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong cloud security expertise, automation experience, and familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks.
Hybrid Schedule: Hybrid work schedule (3 days remote, 2 days in office)
Candidate location: Candidates must be located in South Carolina (willing to consider candidates that will relocate from Georgia or North Carolina)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy secure, scalable cloud solutions in AWS and Azure
- Implement automation to enhance cloud security operations
- Support and integrate with SIEM, SOAR, and XDR platforms
- Ensure compliance with security standards (NIST, HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
- Contribute to documentation, incident response, and security tool configurations
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–10 years in information security/cloud engineering
- Expertise in AWS/Azure infrastructure and cloud security
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience in zero trust environments and working with state/local governments
Certifications:
- AWS or Azure certification (required)
- Preferred: CISSP, Microsoft SC-100, Prisma Cloud Security, PCNSA, PCNSE
