Our client is seeking a Senior Associate OSP Engineer to lead and oversee the planning, design, and construction of outside plant telecommunications infrastructure. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineering professional with a strong background in copper, coaxial, and fiber optic network design who can balance hands-on technical work with project leadership and quality control. The Senior Associate Engineer will play a key role in driving complex network build-outs, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient project execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the construction and maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure, including copper, coax, and fiber optic cables
- Utilizes knowledge of copper, fiber, and coaxial communications systems outside plant network design, and uses computer-aided design (CAD), ESRI, GIS mapping, and data collection to prepare detailed design drawings.
- Project oversight leveraging internal and contractor resources. Project documentation

REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED
A minimum of 5 years on-hand outside plant (OSP) design in the following areas:
- Permitting of buried and aerial facilities.
- Copper plant design.
- Long haul fiber sizing and design.
- FTTH design for local subdivisions.
- Experience using CableCAD, ESRI ArcMap, or other design, drafting, or mapping software.
- OSP project management is a plus.
Clean driving record. Working knowledge of basic electricity. Detail oriented. Must work as a team member with individuals both inside and outside the company.
