We are looking for someone with experience in the trucking or heavy equipment industry who isn’t afraid of tackling a hunter sales position. Someone who isn’t afraid to cold call or drop in on businesses where trucks might be utilized or purchased is going to be the right fit for this role, AND would be working a very lucrative industry with uncapped commission on top of a yearly base salary.
Important Things First
- Pay: $50-$60k base
- Commission: Additional commission provided (not included in the base range above)
- Total comp with base + commission: in the first year, a conservative estimate for total comp falls around $75k-$90k/year if someone has no experience; by year 2, someone should be making in the six figure range with base + commission; by Year 3, $175k-$300k is a good target range.
- Travel requirements: On the road (days only) within territory at least 3 days a week
- Travel expenses: Paid mileage, expense account and company cell phone provided

- Remote work not a problem but person is encouraged to be at the dealership at least one day a week

Duties
- Review assigned leads and conduct cold reach outs and follow ups to convert to clients
- Hunter-type sales activity: cold calling, appointment setting, networking, drop-ins, lunches, dinners, etc.
- Frequent local travel within the drivable regional territory (no overnights)
- Maintain relationships with leads, contacts, or accounts
- Come up with sales strategies in order to reach sales goals
- Draw up quotes, contracts, invoices, etc. as well as other administrative upkeep for accounts as necessary
Qualifications
- If you have a trucking background but no sales experience, apply if you have a very strong work ethic and a drive when it comes to success
- If you have no trucking experience but strong outside sales or cold calling experience, we still encourage you to apply
- Fine with frequent driving around the area, cold calling, door knocking, etc.
- Professional presentation with the ability to talk to anyone while maintaining professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- VERY good follow up, organizational skills, and detail
- Basic computer skills required
- Licensed and legally able to operate a vehicle
- CDL not required but let us know if you have one
- Able to pass drivers check, background check, and drug screen
