A leading Southeast law firm, is looking to hire a Workers Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys in their Charlotte, NC office. This role involves assisting with complex business and commercial litigation matters. This opportunity is Temp-to-Hire and is a remote position. The ideal candidate will be able to come to the Charlotte office for occasional meetings and depositions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal and factual research under the attorney’s direction
  • Organize case files and manage document production
  • Prepare subpoenas, discovery, medical chronologies, and reports
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
  • Assist attorneys with hearing preparation and maintain billable requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and Paralegal Certification required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in litigation
  • Proficient in MS Office and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with knowledge of legal and medical terminology

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $21.63 hr – $28.85 hr
  • 37.5-hour workweek and flexible schedule
