Job Title: Valuations Processor I
Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Location: West Columbia, SC
Pay: $50,000 annually

Position Summary
The Valuations Processor I is responsible for reconciling investment positions to ensure accuracy, preparing contribution calculations to confirm proper funding, and monitoring plan activity for compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail and consistent application of established procedures to maintain data integrity. Valuations Processors work closely with Plan Managers, providing timely support, assisting with issue resolution, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of plan operations.
 
Responsibilities
  • Reconcile investment positions and cash, identifying and resolving out-of-balance discrepancies using Connect360.
  • Communicate identified discrepancies with appropriate departments.
  • Prepare intermediate year-end valuations for non-audited and simple-audited plans and assist with Form 5500 preparation.
  • Review year-end letters prepared by the Plan Manager.
  • Calculate and prepare intermediate contribution amounts based on plan specifications.
  • Process census changes in Relius as requested by the Plan Manager.
  • Calculate and determine participant eligibility for plans with intermediate requirements.
  • Interpret and apply provisions from simple sections of plan documents.
  • Post intermediate transactions in Relius accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile intermediate-level Self-Directed Accounts (SDAs).
  • Add plans to processing groups in Relius and initiate Systematic Transfer Plan (STP) jobs.
  • Calculate simple to intermediate lost earnings and missed opportunity corrections.
  • Understand how Relius plan specification settings impact overall plan performance and output.
  • Identify and correct payroll-related issues.
  • Generate reports as requested by the Plan Manager.
  • Prepare simple to intermediate projections as requested.
  • Assist with system upgrade testing prior to production implementation.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.
 
Qualifications & Skills
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in math, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe products.
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and eagerness to learn new processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle interruptions while meeting deadlines.
