We are seeking a professional Temporary Finance Director to join an excellent team. This is a full time, 3-4 month temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of management level accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all finance and accounting operations.
  • Manage and mentor an accounting department. 
  • Drive and support the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. 
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances from budget, forecast, and prior periods. 
  • Prepare, review, and present financial reports to executive leadership. 
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with leadership regarding financial performance, trends, and variances. 
  • Pull and review planning files and supporting financial data. 
  • Identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for operational and financial improvement. 
  • Support fiscal year-end close activities.
  • Assist with year-end reporting and related financial deliverables. 
  • Collaborate with accounting leadership to ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
  • Significant progressive finance and accounting leadership experience. 
  • Strong background within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis. 
  • Experience leading accounting and finance teams. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Proven experience explaining financial performance, trends, and variances to executive leadership. 
  • Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes. 
  • Exceptional professionalism, communication, and executive presence. 
Hours:
  • Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
  • 100% ONSITE
  • 3-4 month temporary assignment
Compensation:
  • $45 – $50 hourly
  • FGP offers contract employees benefits including minimum essential coverage insurance, a fixed indemnity plan and a 401k retirement plan once eligibility requirements are met.
