Responsibilities:
- Serve as the acting CFO and primary finance advisor to executive leadership, board stakeholders, and investors
- Provide executive oversight of finance, accounting, FP&A, and related business functions
- Maintain continuity of financial operations, reporting processes, and stakeholder communications during the leadership transition
- Review financial reporting, forecasts, and key business metrics to ensure accuracy and quality before executive distribution
- Guide executive decision-making through strategic financial insight, risk identification, and business performance analysis
- Lead, mentor, and support finance leaders through a coaching-oriented management style
- Foster stability and engagement across accounting and finance teams while maintaining organizational momentum
- Review cash flow forecasts, challenge assumptions, and identify potential risks or opportunities
- Provide financial leadership and advisory support on acquisition opportunities, valuation analyses, and transaction reviews
- Partner with senior executives to drive cross-functional alignment and business performance improvement initiatives
Finance Process Improvement & Balance Sheet Optimization
- Coach finance leaders through ongoing balance sheet review and reconciliation efforts
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support sustainable operational enhancements
- Strengthen collaboration between finance and business operations teams
- Act as executive sponsor for a company-wide reporting and analytics enhancement project
- Oversee vendor relationships, project milestones, deliverables, and implementation progress
- Ensure reporting outputs support executive decision-making and strategic objectives
- Assess team capabilities, development opportunities, and succession readiness
- Provide mentorship and leadership support to key finance personnel
- Help prepare for a smooth transition to the incoming permanent CFO
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced credentials preferred
- Previous experience serving as a CFO, Divisional CFO, Finance Executive, or Interim CFO
- Experience overseeing both Accounting and FP&A functions
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, strategic planning, financial reporting, and executive-level decision support
- Interim executive leadership experience strongly preferred
- Business-to-business (B2B) services industry experience preferred
- Background in recurring-revenue, field services, professional services, or related industries is a plus
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Approximately 25 – 30 hours per week
- 3-6 month Temporary Assignment
- $65 – $100+ hourly
