About the Role
Our client is seeking an Automation & Data Engineer to build and enhance automation, data pipelines, and cloud-based systems. This role is developer-focused, hands-on with Python, SQL, and AWS, and ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational problems through technology.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain automation tools, APIs, and data pipelines using Python, MySQL, and AWS.
  • Modernize manual or legacy processes into scalable, cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop system architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling for automated processes.
  • Support teams across the organization by translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Maintain documentation and provide occasional ad hoc reporting or data support.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the technical roadmap.
Qualifications
Required
  • Hands-on experience with Python development.
  • Strong SQL/MySQL skills.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3, or similar).
  • Experience with Git and basic CI/CD practices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non?technical users.
Preferred
  • Experience with cloud automation tools or serverless development.
  • Exposure to BI/reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Lean methodologies.
  • Experience with automation, RPA, or AI/ML tools is a plus.

Compensation: $55,000–$60,000 base
