Our client, a higher education institution in Greenville, SC, is seeking three (3) part-time staff members to support its Customer Care Team. These temporary roles provide front-line customer service and administrative support within a fast-paced call center and student services environment.
This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable handling high-volume customer interactions and data entry.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and appropriately route or escalate inquiries to ensure coverage during peak call times and lunch hours
- Provide professional front-line customer service via phone and email
- Perform data entry and processing related to admissions and student records
- Download, review, and enter high school and in-state college transcripts received through Parchment
- Process pass/non-pass requests according to institutional guidelines
- Upload and manage legal presence documentation following approval
- Monitor and respond to shared public email inboxes in a timely and accurate manner
- Review and route internal escalation tickets to the appropriate staff
- Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality in all assigned duties
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with data entry
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Strong listening, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including email and standard office software
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Hours: Monday–Thursday between 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Friday between 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (hours may vary)
Assignment Length: Temporary (approximately late April through end of September)
Work Location: On-site, business casual environment
Compensation: $16 per hour
