We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Order Specialist to support order processing, customer communication, and logistics activities for a busy operations team. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in ERP and e-commerce systems, managing detailed order information, and coordinating with customers and transportation partners. Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through are essential.

**This is a temporary position for 6+ months.**

DETAILS/DUTIES

  • Process customer orders through electronic file uploads into an ERP system
  • Review order information for accuracy and make requested customer adjustments
  • Verify that all required order and distribution-related fields are complete
  • Maintain customer order information through an online customer portal
  • Upload order confirmations, invoices, and shipment tracking information
  • Prepare and provide weekly customer open-order reports
  • Track purchase orders and maintain accurate information in the ERP system
  • Assist with new part setup, including items requiring pricing requests
  • Support urgent orders and direct-to-customer shipments
  • Assist with customer credits and related documentation
  • Coordinate customer product returns and return authorizations
  • Communicate with freight forwarding and transportation providers after shipments are booked
  • Work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve order or shipment discrepancies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in customer service, order management, sales support, logistics, or a similar administrative role
  • Experience working with an ERP or order management system preferred
  • Strong data-entry skills with excellent attention to accuracy
  • Comfortable working with online customer portals and electronic order documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines, and customer requests simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and freight providers
  • Dependable, organized, and proactive in following orders through completion
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening
  • Comfortable doing a temporary position for 6+ months

PAY/BENEFITS

  • $25 to $27 per hour
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • One-hour lunch
  • On-site position in the Fort Mill, South Carolina area
  • Drug screening and background check required
  • 6+ month contract
