We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to support a safe and healthy work environment at our client’s facility. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety programs and ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Promote a safety-first culture through coaching, communication, and leadership engagement
  • Conduct safety inspections, job hazard assessments, and routine safety walks to proactively identify and address risks
  • Develop and lead training programs on health and safety topics; maintain training logs and documentation
  • Suspend any unsafe activities and enforce immediate corrective actions as needed
  • Lead investigations for workplace incidents and near-misses; determine root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions
  • Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting in coordination with Human Resources
  • Manage and maintain all required OSHA documentation, safety permits, and SDSs
  • Support environmental compliance initiatives and oversee hazardous waste storage and disposal
  • Maintain and improve health and safety programs, including but not limited to hearing conservation, emergency response, and PPE
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to improve employee awareness, compliance, and engagement in health and safety practices
  • Maintain and schedule training for first responders and assist with emergency drills
  • Assist with special projects and support continuous improvement efforts in safety and environmental performance
 
Qualifications:
  • 2–5 years of health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with safety management systems a plus
  • Safety certifications

Compensation & Benefits:
  • $65,000-80,000, based on experience
  • Monday–Friday schedule with consistent hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
