Responsibilities:
- Promote a safety-first culture through coaching, communication, and leadership engagement
- Conduct safety inspections, job hazard assessments, and routine safety walks to proactively identify and address risks
- Develop and lead training programs on health and safety topics; maintain training logs and documentation
- Suspend any unsafe activities and enforce immediate corrective actions as needed
- Lead investigations for workplace incidents and near-misses; determine root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions
- Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting in coordination with Human Resources
- Manage and maintain all required OSHA documentation, safety permits, and SDSs
- Support environmental compliance initiatives and oversee hazardous waste storage and disposal
- Maintain and improve health and safety programs, including but not limited to hearing conservation, emergency response, and PPE
- Collaborate with plant leadership to improve employee awareness, compliance, and engagement in health and safety practices
- Maintain and schedule training for first responders and assist with emergency drills
- Assist with special projects and support continuous improvement efforts in safety and environmental performance
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with safety management systems a plus
- Safety certifications
Compensation & Benefits:
- $65,000-80,000, based on experience
- Monday–Friday schedule with consistent hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
