We are seeking a professional Payroll Analyst to join a growing team in Clemson, SC. This is a full time, permanent/Direct Hire OR Temp to Hire position.  This will be a HYBRID-REMOTE opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of high-volume, multi-state payroll experience and will have strong Workday knowledge.

Responsibilities:
  • Review payroll data and system-generated integrations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze payroll audit reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll processing issues
  • Manage post-payroll activities, including funding verification, vendor payments, garnishments, and payroll-related remittances
  • Process and reconcile direct deposit returns and investigate payment exceptions
  • Coordinate the printing, distribution, and tracking of payroll checks as needed
  • Support payroll operations by ensuring payroll transactions are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Assist with payroll cycle management, including pre-processing reviews and post-processing validations
  • Research and resolve payroll inquiries received through internal ticketing systems and email channels
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations across multiple states
  • Serve as a backup resource for key payroll operational functions and contribute to continuous process improvements
  • High-volume payroll environment supporting approximately 12,000 employees per pay cycle
  • Semi-monthly payroll schedule

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
  • Workday experience is REQUIRED
  • 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment
  • Experience processing payroll for large employee populations
  • Strong understanding of the full payroll cycle, including payroll audits, garnishments, tax-related processes, funding activities, and vendor remittances
  • Ability to interpret payroll reports, identify errors, and troubleshoot processing issues
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines

Hours:
  • Monday – Friday (Standard Business Hours)
  • 37.5 hour work week
  • HYBRID – REMOTE SCHEDULE

Compensation & Benefits:
