A professional services company in Duncan is seeking a sharp and experienced candidate to join their team as a temp-to-hire Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will have several years of payroll processing experience and strong technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Compiles payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance, and 401(k) deductions.
- Review employee time sheets and verify the information for completeness and accuracy.
- Contact various client supervisors for any missed times or incomplete data.
- Process weekly transfer of payroll data for direct deposit to payroll system.
- Compile internal management reports from payroll system software.
- Calculates client bill rates based on employee pay rates and hours worked.
- 1 – 3 years of payroll experience is required.
- Ability to demonstrate technical computer proficiency (Specifically 10-Key and Microsoft Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be punctual and to maintain time management
- Detail oriented and thorough work requirements
- $27/hr
