POSITION SUMMARY
Our Executive Search Consultant is responsible for providing end-to-end search recruitment to meet and exceed client expectations. With a consultative approach, this role strengthens relationships with candidates and existing clients while actively building relationships with new clients.
Reports to: Director of Executive Search
New Customer Development
- Develop and execute a targeted relationship and account development strategy.
- Proactively grow client base through new business prospecting by networking, connecting face to face, marketing candidates, and cold calling potential customers.
- Continuously identify potential business opportunities with new companies to sell FGP’s platform of services.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with prospects and clients to create a rapport that facilitates a true partnership and generates revenue.
- Develop and maintain relationships through regular professional communication, visibility, and marketing of FGP services to existing clients.
- Prepare a plan with a focus on continuous growth and sustainability.
- Evaluate current business performance to maximize reach and potential with each client.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of all FGP services to help clients learn about and utilize multiple services within the FGP talent platform.
- Provide strategic direction and counsel to hiring executives regarding recruiting trends, concerns and possibilities for opportunistic hiring, to ensure a positive client experience.
- Ensure a solutions mindset to clients’ business problems and instill a lens of “how we make things work” versus “why they won’t work.”
- Approach all client relationships from a consultative mindset of solving their business problems with talent solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end executive recruiting process, including partnering with hiring managers on role specifications, establishing and executing sourcing strategies, managing the interview process, assessing candidates’ skills, experiences and competencies, and completing offer discussions.
- Communicate professionally and timely with the client company regarding job specifications for orders, a timeline for completing the searches, and any information related to the search’s success.
- Actively listen to fully understand the needs of the client, while asking insightful questions.
- Proactively have difficult conversations to ensure transparency
- surrounding the hiring market, job specifications, and process-oriented details.
- Be diligent and process-driven when qualifying a job order from a client company. Utilize templates to ensure all information is gathered and communicated to the recruiting team.
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver results for new and existing business relationships.
- Understand the recruitment delivery process, educate hiring leaders, and become a strategic partner for the business lines on all recruitment activity.
- Document sales, business development, and account management activities in the FGP database (Bullhorn) with information relating to companies, contacts, and job orders.
- Be a tenacious hunter of talent with deep sourcing and market research skills.
- Develop a deep understanding of the candidate’s professional history, leadership style, skills, certifications, and specific fit for a client role(s).
- Build and maintain relationships with active and passive candidates through regular communication and follow up (24-hour return).
- Create a thoughtful candidate engagement experience, treating every candidate with respect and care.
- Ensure the presentation of high-quality executive candidates in accordance with diversity and regulatory goals and objectives. Drive programs (e.g., sourcing and selection) that ensure executive recruiting strategies attract candidates with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
- Manage and conduct thorough reference and background checks on final candidates. Construct and negotiate complex executive offer packages and facilitate executive onboarding expertise to set the new hires up for success.
- Document all recruiting activities with candidates in FGP database (Bullhorn).
PREFERED EXPERIENCE
- Three to five years of business-to-business sales experience, industry expertise and recruiting experience
- Knowledge of sales techniques including cold-calling, networking, lead generation and the ability to capture and close the deal
- Superior knowledge of recruitment processes and area of expertise
- Business acumen and market insight

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
