Job Description:
- Manage procurements for professional services, construction, capital equipment, and other goods and services
- Develop, issue, and administer competitive solicitations, including IFBs, RFPs, and RFQs
- Prepare solicitation packages, legal advertisements, scopes of work, and specifications
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors throughout the procurement process
- Coordinate pre-bid/pre-proposal conferences, public bid openings, evaluations, and award recommendations
- Issue award notifications and purchase orders and verify compliance
- Exercise purchasing authority and independent decision-making for transactions
- Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Create, maintain, modify, close, and cancel purchase orders within the financial management system
- Establish and monitor encumbrances to support budget control, financial accountability, and audit readiness
- Review vendor applications, W-9s, and supporting documentation for approval and onboarding
- Determine appropriate contract types and required documentation based on procurement needs
- Coordinate contract routing, approvals, electronic signatures, and execution processes
- Monitor contract status to ensure timely completion and compliance with approval requirements
- Maintain accurate procurement and contract records
- Associate’s Degree (Preferred)
- 2 years of procurement experience
- Strong MS Office Suite Skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
- 100% onsite
- $26 – $34 hourly
- Long term temporary position with potential to go permanent
