In this position, you will support the design team in producing high-quality work efficiently while meeting client expectations and maintaining the firm’s standards. Success in this role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with design and drafting for mechanical (HVAC) projects using Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Support project teams with tasks such as site evaluations, feasibility studies, and construction documentation
- Help gather design data through coordination with team members and occasional field visits
- Perform basic calculations (with guidance), including load calculations and duct/piping sizing
- Assist in developing drawings, specifications, and documentation for engineering review
- Apply building and mechanical codes with supervision and mentorship
- Participate in project coordination with internal teams, clients, and contractors
- Support construction administration tasks such as reviewing submittals and RFIs
- Help maintain organized project files and documentation
- Contribute to quality control by following company drawing standards
- Assist project managers and engineers with daily project activities
- Participate in team meetings and help document key takeaways
- Support small project tasks or portions of larger projects under supervision
- Maintain accurate records and assist with data archiving
- Continue professional development through training and mentorship opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:
- 0–2 years of experience in mechanical/HVAC design or related field (internships/co-ops considered)
- Basic experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD required
- Preferred exposure to HVAC systems or MEP design
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a deadline-driven environment
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of building codes (IBC, NFPA) is a plus but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Bluebeam is a plus
