A growing industrial services company is seeking a Packaging Operations Coordinator to support and oversee daily packaging operations at a customer site in Piedmont, SC. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with inventory management, team coordination, and customer support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have SAP experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

 
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily packaging operations, including shrink wrapping, large crate packaging, and custom protective packaging solutions.
  • Provide day-to-day direction and support for a team of 10-20 employees.
  • Monitor workflow and staffing priorities to ensure customer requirements and production schedules are met.
  • Process and track inventory transactions, material usage, and work orders using SAP.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and production documentation.
  • Manage packaging material inventory and proactively address potential shortages.
  • Partner with customer contacts and internal leadership to ensure efficient operations and exceptional service.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Coach team members on productivity, quality expectations, and safe work practices.
  • Assist with overtime and weekend operations when required to support customer needs. Responsibilities adapted from Offsite Packaging Supervisor.
 
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, logistics, or industrial operations.
  • Experience utilizing SAP for inventory management, transactions, or production support.
  • Previous experience leading, coordinating, or directing hourly employees preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled facility.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
 
Compensation & Benefits
  • $50,000-60,000
  • Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
  • 3 weeks of PTO
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k) eligibility after one year
