We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee environmental services and custodial operations across multiple healthcare facilities. This leadership role is responsible for managing people, operations, client relationships, quality standards, compliance initiatives, and financial performance within a large healthcare account.
The ideal candidate will possess strong healthcare industry knowledge, understand infection prevention and healthcare cleaning standards, and have experience leading multi-site custodial or environmental services operations. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to both operational teams and healthcare stakeholders while driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead environmental services and custodial operations across multiple healthcare facilities.
- Manage and develop Operations Managers, Supervisors, and frontline leadership teams.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and healthcare cleaning standards.
- Build strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders and serve as the primary operational point of contact.
- Monitor staffing levels, workforce planning, scheduling, and employee performance.
- Manage labor budgets, productivity, overtime, and overall contract performance.
- Analyze KPIs, inspection results, and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives.
- Prepare for client audits, performance reviews, and compliance assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, operational efficiencies, and technology adoption across sites.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience within healthcare environmental services, custodial operations, healthcare support services, or facility management.
- 3+ years of experience managing teams, supervisors, or operational leaders.
- Experience supporting healthcare environments such as hospitals, medical centers, or healthcare systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare cleaning protocols, infection prevention practices, and healthcare service standards.
- Experience managing labor, staffing, scheduling, and operating budgets.
- Client-facing experience with responsibility for service delivery and relationship management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- 5+ years of healthcare environmental services or healthcare operations leadership experience.
- Multi-site operational management experience.
- Experience preparing for and participating in operational, quality, or regulatory audits.
- Experience with inspection management, maintenance management, payroll, or workforce management systems.
- Knowledge of quality management and auditing programs.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
