Overview
A growing organization in the construction and building materials industry is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where customer service, organization, and teamwork are highly valued. Full time schedule, Monday-Friday, 8-5pm. 

The ideal candidate will enjoy a variety of responsibilities, including administrative support, customer service, order processing, and office coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, quotes, and other business documents.
  • Accurately enter customer orders and maintain records.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, deliveries, and order status.
  • Coordinate pickup, delivery, appointment, and meeting schedules.
  • Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Assist with invoicing, payment processing, and basic accounts receivable/payable tasks.
  • Monitor office supply inventory and support day-to-day office operations.
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues as needed.
  • Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
 
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative, customer service, receptionist, or office support role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
 
Preferred
  • Experience within construction, manufacturing, distribution, building materials, or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, order entry, or accounting software.
  • Experience supporting customer accounts, sales teams, or operations.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
 
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly pay of $16.00-$18.00, based on experience.
