We are currently hiring a Collections Specialist for a full-time temporary role based in Greenville, SC, anticipated to last 3–4 months, with the possibility of permanent hire. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of collections experience and a strong ability to manage high-volume accounts.

Schedule, Training & Start Details
  • Work Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Fridays off)
  • Start Date: Monday, July 6, 2026 (must be available to begin on this date)
Training Schedule:
  • First 6 weeks dedicated to training
  • Weeks 1–2:
    • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (onsite required)
  • Weeks 3–6:
    • Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Additional Notes:
  • Opportunity to transition to two daytime shifts per week after training
  • Perfect attendance is required during the first 2 weeks of training
  • No more than 3 absences allowed during weeks 3–6

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound collection calls (primarily phone-based role)
  • Work with customers to resolve outstanding balances and negotiate payment arrangements
  • Accurately document all communications and account updates
  • Achieve performance metrics while adhering to compliance standards
  • Handle more complex account issues across multiple communication channels (phone, chat, email, text)
  • Address escalated situations and exercise sound decision-making independently
  • Maintain strong organization, quickly adapt to new procedures, and manage shifting priorities

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, call center, or customer service preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using computer systems and learning new tools quickly
  • High level of attention to detail and adherence to compliance requirements
  • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt and work independently

Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly Pay: $19–$20, based on experience
  • Conversion Increase: Additional $1/hour upon permanent hire
  • Bilingual Differential: Additional $1/hour for bilingual candidates
  • Assignment Length: 3–4 months, with potential for full-time employment
