A mission-driven non-profit organization serving youth and families in Greenville, SC  is seeking a dynamic Community Engagement Director to lead fundraising, strengthen community partnerships, and grow volunteer involvement. This is a highly visible, relationship-focused role offering the opportunity to make a meaningful local impact while working within a small, collaborative team. The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage relationships with current and prospective donors through regular one-on-one meetings
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies in partnership with organizational leadership
  • Plan and oversee fundraising events and donor engagement initiatives
  • Ensure timely donor acknowledgment, including personalized communications and accurate record-keeping
  • Support grant writing efforts and assist with storytelling through newsletters, social media, and impact reports
  • Cultivate relationships with community leaders, business partners, and local organizations
  • Represent the organization at community events, public speaking engagements, and networking opportunities
  • Develop new corporate partnerships and identify growth opportunities within the region
  • Recruit, onboard, and engage volunteers through regular outreach and relationship-building
  • Plan volunteer appreciation initiatives and recognition events throughout the year
  • Collaborate with internal team members on programming, communications, and marketing efforts
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising and development
  • Social media, copywriting, and events experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed
  • Proven ability to build relationships and effectively engage diverse audiences
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated professionalism, problem-solving ability, and conflict resolution skills
 
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $50,000 – $62,000
  • Health insurance stipend
