Overview
Our client is seeking a hands-on IT Specialist to support their Charleston office and their remote U.S. employees. This role is responsible for hardware setup, troubleshooting, and day-to-day IT support to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Apple devices and macOS environments, along with a proactive, service-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-user IT support (hardware, software, and connectivity issues)
- Set up and configure laptops, applications, and peripherals for new hires
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Apple devices (MacBooks, iMacs, etc.)
- Support remote employees using tools like Zoom or TeamViewer
- Manage hardware inventory and track company devices
- Assist with basic security, VPN access, and policy compliance
- Coordinate equipment procurement and deployment
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of IT support or helpdesk experience
- Strong experience supporting macOS and Apple hardware
- Hands-on experience with device setup and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with remote support tools
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work on-site in Charleston as needed
Nice to Have
- Experience with Jamf or other MDM tools
- Knowledge of VPN setup and basic networking
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+ or similar)
