We’re looking for a Senior Programmer to lead major features from concept through deployment, guide architectural decisions, and serve as a technical expert across teams. This role owns complex system development, drives coding standards, and supports incident response and cross-team engineering alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, debug, and document new applications following established programming standards.

  • Own major features from initial design through production release with minimal oversight.

  • Provide architectural guidance, establish coding conventions, and ensure code quality, maintainability, and reliability.

  • Lead and support major incident response efforts and drive root-cause resolution.

  • Contribute to planning, estimation, and technical scoping for new development cycles.

  • Identify optimization opportunities and propose improvements to systems, processes, and team practices.

  • Collaborate across teams, create and maintain technical documentation, and review critical pull requests.

  • Mentor developers of varying experience levels and help define professional standards.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for production support.

  • Adhere to all security, compliance, and intellectual property policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 5–8 years of professional experience developing web applications end-to-end.

  • Expertise in an object-oriented language and strong proficiency with PHP and modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).

  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system-level problem-solving.

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and relational database design/optimization.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, monitoring, and observability tooling.

  • Solid understanding of web application security and common attack vectors.

  • Experience leading incident response and mentoring developers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
