A growing commercial construction organization is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of retail, renovation, and tenant improvement projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced project leaders, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and gain exposure to all phases of the construction lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where managing multiple priorities is essential. This is a direct hire and onsite opportunity in Greenville, SC.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents throughout all project phases, including estimating, preconstruction, construction, and closeout.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to assist with scope development, bid solicitation, subcontractor coordination, and proposal preparation.
  • Manage requests for information, document revisions, change orders, and drawing updates to ensure timely project execution.
  • Assist with subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and procurement of project materials, including long-lead items.
  • Track project schedules, deliveries, inspections, permits, and utility setup requirements to avoid construction delays.
  • Monitor project documentation, submittals, closeout packages, commissioning requirements, and warranty information.
  • Support field teams by coordinating vendors, resolving material and delivery issues, and facilitating project reporting.
  • Assist with punch list completion, final inspections, certificate of occupancy processes, and project turnover activities.
 
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in construction project coordination, assistant project management, project engineering, or a related role.
  • Commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to task completion
  • Construction project management software platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Occasional travel to project sites and client meetings may be required.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $75k -$90k
