A growing service-based organization is seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead operational support teams across multiple locations on the East Coast. This position is remote; however, it requires travel approximately one week per month.

This role is responsible for employee development, operational consistency, KPI management, customer support functions, and cross-functional collaboration.

The successful candidate will be a people-focused leader who enjoys coaching teams, driving accountability, and supporting operational excellence across a geographically dispersed region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 employees located across multiple sites.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance discussions, and coaching sessions.
  • Build a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and employee development.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and professional growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted leader and resource for team members throughout the territory.
  • Provide oversight and support for day-to-day operational functions across multiple locations.
  • Ensure processes are executed consistently and efficiently.
  • Partner with local teams to improve efficiencies and support business objectives.
  • Promote operational consistency and adherence to established processes and best practices.
  • Monitor operational performance through KPIs and reporting tools.
  • Identify trends, evaluate opportunities for improvement, and implement action plans.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and support operational goals.
  • Hold teams accountable for performance expectations and service standards.
  • Communicate operational updates and business results to leadership.
  • Partner with leaders across multiple departments to support business objectives.
  • Assist with organizational initiatives and operational alignment efforts.
  • Collaborate with peers to share best practices and drive consistency across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel one week per month.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, customer operations, service operations, field operations, branch operations, logistics, or a related environment.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple locations.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees.
  • Experience using KPIs and operational metrics to drive accountability and performance.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations within a service-driven organization.
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory platforms, CRM tools, reporting systems, or related technologies.
  • Strong systems aptitude and ability to quickly learn new software platforms.
  • Experience leading teams through organizational growth, process alignment, or operational changes.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
