A well known client of ours in Columbia, SC is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician II to join their team. You are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general building maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of class A, commercial property. This role supports tenant satisfaction by maintaining building systems, responding to service requests, and assisting with facility operations. This is a direct hire and fully onsite role.
 
 Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair building equipment and systems.
  • Respond to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment and conduct monthly inventory.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
  • Assist with vendor coordination and oversight when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and building procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities and after-hours maintenance as required.
  • Perform minor carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
  • Monitor building automation systems and report operational issues.
  • Rotating on call schedule 24/7 and be able to respond to after hour calls when needed.
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance management systems.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
