Overview

We’re hiring a Maintenance Technician I to handle day-to-day upkeep and minor repairs across commercial properties (office, retail, industrial). This is a great entry-level role for someone with hands-on experience who wants to grow in facilities or building maintenance.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests
  • Complete routine and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Perform basic repairs (lighting, plumbing, paint, fixtures)
  • Troubleshoot minor issues with building systems
  • Support inspections and resolve small deficiencies
  • Maintain clean and organized equipment/storage areas
  • Assist with inventory tracking and supply ordering
  • Participate in on-call coverage for after-hours issues

What You’ll Actually Work On (Day-to-Day)

  • Changing bulbs, switches, outlets
  • Minor plumbing fixes (e.g., unclogging drains)
  • Paint touch-ups and general upkeep
  • Thermostat adjustments
  • Light custodial or cleanup tasks as needed

Requirements

Must-Have:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic maintenance or construction experience
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Strong communication and time management skills
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in commercial property maintenance
  • Exposure to mechanical or electrical systems

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Active role: standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting (up to 50–100 lbs occasionally)
  • Indoor/outdoor work in varying conditions
  • Exposure to dust, temperature changes, and maintenance environments
  • Safety gear required (provided where applicable)

Benefits & Compensation:

  • $24-$28/hr, based on experience
