Are you a creative communicator who enjoys storytelling, social media, and planning events? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where you can work independently while engaging with communities? We are seeking a Regional Communications Specialist to support schools across South Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with experience in marketing, content creation, and event coordination who is looking for a dynamic position with variety and impact.
 
Description:
• Social media management and content creation (posts, reels, short-form video)
• Photography, videography, and storytelling to highlight student and staff experiences
• Event planning and coordination (student outings, family events, community engagement)
• Travel to schools and events to capture content and support initiatives (30–40%)
• Website updates and digital communications
• Newsletter creation and internal communications
• Serve as primary communications contact for assigned programs
• Vendor coordination and event logistics (venues, food, travel, materials)
• Support enrollment, engagement, and community outreach efforts
• Budget tracking and collaboration with internal teams
 
Qualifications:
• Must have experience planning events and marketing content in education or nonprofit environments
• Experience working with marketing agencies, external vendors or communications partners
• Knowledge of WordPress and Google sites
• Event planner/event management certification
• Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Proficiency with tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Express
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Willingness to travel throughout South Carolina, including occasional overnight travel
 
Compensation:
• Salary: $50,000–$62,000
• Full Benefits (health, dental, life, retirement)
• PTO (20 days)
• Paid Holidays + extended seasonal breaks
• Remote work environment (South Carolina-based required)
