A reputable law firm is seeking a highly organized Legal Practice Assistant to support attorneys across corporate securities and labor & employment matters. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with exposure to transactional and litigation matters while playing a critical role in document management and administrative execution.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, format, and proofread complex legal documents with a high degree of accuracy
  • Manage high-volume document workflows across corporate and litigation matters
  • Assist with drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and other court-related documents
  • Support corporate and securities activities, including regulatory filings under attorney guidance
  • Maintain organized case files, transaction records, and client documentation
  • Coordinate calendars, deadlines, and logistics for meetings and legal proceedings
  • Assist with billing processes, including time entry and invoice coordination
  • Organize and maintain attorney contacts and client information systems
  • Provide administrative and light marketing support as needed
  • Coordinate materials related to arbitrations, union activity, and employment-related matters

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a legal or professional services environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, with strong document formatting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workloads with speed and precision
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines across multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and court filing procedures preferred
  • Experience supporting corporate, real estate, finance, or litigation practices is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • $62,000-$72,000
