Director of Information Technology
About the Role
We are seeking a Director of IT to lead technology strategy and operations for a mission-driven organization. This individual will serve as the top IT leader, balancing hands-on technical work with strategic planning and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small internal IT team
- Define and execute the organization’s IT strategy and roadmap
- Oversee infrastructure, systems, networks, and security
- Manage vendor relationships, including external infrastructure partners
- Ensure reliable IT service delivery across multiple environments
- Evaluate and implement technology improvements and future initiatives
- Balance day-to-day operational support with long-term planning
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8 years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibility
- Strong technical foundation across infrastructure, systems, and networking
- Experience managing or mentoring small teams
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for working in a mission-driven environment
Technical Environment (Snapshot)
- Windows-based infrastructure (servers and endpoints)
- Network technologies including firewalls, switching, and endpoint management
- Mix of on-prem infrastructure and cloud-based applications
- Roughly 200+ staff devices and several hundred additional endpoints
