Our client is seeking a Temporary Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to two staff attorneys. This position will assist with a variety of legal matters, including public records requests, legal research, contract and agreement review, and the preparation of legal documents. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and public records requests.
  • Conduct legal, regulatory, and policy research as assigned.
  • Draft, review, organize, and maintain legal documents and correspondence.
  • Support the preparation and administration of grant award agreements.
  • Assist with the review and tracking of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Prepare and maintain performance agreements and related documentation.
  • Compile, review, and summarize incentive agreements and incentive summaries.
  • Organize and maintain legal files, records, and databases.
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather information and documentation.
  • Perform other legal and administrative support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with contracts, agreements, public records requests, or government legal matters is a plus.
  • Strong legal research and document review skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
